Foundational training in intensive therapeutic care

On‑demand training building shared skills to support young people in intensive therapeutic residential care

Foundational training in intensive therapeutic care is an on-demand course for residential care workers, house managers and therapeutic specialists designed to support the implementation of the Intensive Therapeutic Care (ITC) reform in New South Wales.

This course aims to equip you with a shared language and understanding to effectively support young people with complex needs in residential care. This program is specifically developed to encourage collaboration and a shared knowledge base among all members of the ITC system. By creating this common ground, ITC professionals can work together more effectively, ensuring the best interests of the children and young people in our care.

The training consists of 11 modules, providing opportunities to listen, observe, and reflect on the core principles of ITC and your role within a residential care team. Upon completing the program, you will receive a certificate of completion.

Each module takes between 30 and 90 minutes over a 6-month access period.

On demand learning from Australian Childhood Foundation.
Cost: $99.00
