Responding to child sexual exploitation is an online self-paced training developed by the Centre for Excellence in Therapeutic Care in response to recommendations made by the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse (2017) to inform prevention and response to child sexual exploitation.
Strategies to identify and disrupt opportunities for the sexual exploitation of children, including children in out-of-home care, depend on central coordination and multi-disciplinary approaches. This training and resource kit aims to equip workers with knowledge and strategies to support vulnerable young people at risk of exploitation.
Responding to child sexual exploitation is an online self-paced training for caseworkers, residential workers, house supervisors and managers, therapeutic specialists and organisational leaders working in out-of-home care and therapeutic care. The training is comprised of 6 online learning modules.
