Sharing Aboriginal culture through VR
VR helps students preserve Aboriginal culture by recreating stories and Country through immersive 3D experiences.
Students and Elders at Halls Creek District High School are using virtual reality to preserve and share Aboriginal culture by turning on‑Country stories, photos, and Dreaming knowledge into immersive 3D environments. Through collaboration with Elders, photogrammetry, and recorded storytelling in language and English, the project helps keep cultural knowledge alive while teaching students digital skills that strengthen future opportunities.
