Financial support is available for children in care. For carers registered with the Department of Communities and where the child is in the Chief Executive Officer’s care, payments can include the types of subsidies featured below.

Subsidy payments are paid to carers fortnightly in arrears from the first day the child enters the care arrangement until the day the child leaves that arrangement.

Other payments are also available to assist with case support costs. The use of these payments, and applications for special needs loading and special purpose funding, can be discussed with your Case Manager.
